Monument record TQ 95 NE 7 - Site of a suspected Roman burial mound, Champion Court, Newnham
Summary
A suspected burial mound was formerly located in the orchard at the back of Champion Court, Newnham. It was investigated in 1825 and was found to contain small pieces of iron and broken pieces of Roman(?) pottery. There is no longer any trace of this mound.
