Full Description
[Area TQ 928 735] A gold solidus of Valentinian II was found in 1897 in Dully Wood, Doddington. Another, found c. 1900-01, was presented to Maidstone Museum (Acc. No. 9.1959). Roman bronze coins were reported as having been found prior to 1897 at "other spots" in the wood. (1-3)
