The following text is from the original listed building designation:
FORT PARAGON 1. 1380 Nos 2 & 3. Nos 1 to 24 (consec) (Paragon Court) TR 3571 SE 3/1

2. Circa 1830. Refaced in 1853. 4 storeys and basement with area. Originally brown brick, the ground floor is stuccoed and rusticated, but 7 of the houses have been refaced with brown roughcast. Parapet. 3 windows each. Continuous cast iron balcony with hood over on the 1st floor of Nos 2 and 3 but missing from No 9. Glazing bars missing. Off centre later porch with a curved pediment bearing the legend "Paragon Court." 2 5/8 columns and 2 square pilasters of modified Ionic order with festoons draped down the columns. Cast iron spear railings and lamp brackets outside this entrance.
