Full Description

"Pottery with Neolithic celt" was found at the back of the George Inn, Stalisfield. (1) There has never been a George Inn at Stalisfield, according to local enquiries and from inspection of early maps. The nearest George Inns are several miles away, at Newnham and Challock. Enquiries at the Plough, Stalisfield were negative. (2)
