The following text is from the original listed building designation:
RAMSGATE PEGWELL ROAD TR 3764 SW (south side) 17/302 No. 2 (The Lodge) GV II House. Mid C19. Stone with slate roof. Two storeys with ashlar quoins, string courses and parapet gable. Central stack. Two sashes on first floor, 2 mullion casements on ground floor, all with shutters. Gabled wing to right with canted bay and boarded door. Probably originally the gate lodge to the adjacent Belmont House (now Bon Secours Nursing Home item 17/250) and included for group value with that item.
