Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
RAMSGATE THE PLAINS OF TR 3865 SE WATERLOO (west side) 10/319 Nos. 71 to 77 and railed areas 21.9.84 GV II Terrace row. Circa 1818. Stock brick and slate roof. Three storeys and basement with parapet stepped down to right, and stacks from left to right. No. 77 with 3 storey canted bay with casements sashes and casements to each floor in moulded architraves. Tented verandah on 1st floor with wooden piers and rails. No. 75 with 2 wooden casements on each floor and canted bay on ground floor. No. 73 with sash on each floor and bay on ground floor. No. 71 with glazing bar sash on each floor and to canted ground floor bay. Wooden casements to basements, except glazing bar sash No. 71. Panelled and half-glazed doors to left of each front with semi-circular surrounds. Simple rails to steps and basement areas (wooden replacements to No. 75). Shown on Collard and Hurst's 1822 map.
