The following text is from the original listed building designation:
RAMSGATE KING GEORGE VI TR 36 NE MEMORIAL PARK 1/232 15.2.73 Battlemented courtyard with towers and internal walls GV II Courtyard. 1794 by Boncey of Margate for Benjamen Bond Hopkins. Flint with stock brick and stucco details. Large courtyard, with flint wall about 6 feet high, set with arched rendered recesses. Brick gate piers halfway along west wall. North wall crenellated, with brick and flint entrance porch. At each corner, and within the double courtyard are 2 storey crenellated brick towers, with blank arched recesses on each floor in outer faces, and sashes and altered doors on inner faces. One tower built adjacent to item 1/233 Flint cross walls and crenellated outbuildings within the courtyard and attached to walls. Formerly the stable courtyard to East Cliff Lodge (see item 1/231 for history). Part of the perimeter wall is also described under that item.
