The following text is from the original listed building designation:
RAMSGATE HIGH STREET TR 3865 SW (south-west side) 9/188 No. 72 GV II House, now shop. Mid C18 altered mid C19. Rendered with plain tiled roof. Three storeys with horizontally rusticated ground floor with moulded modillion eaves cornice to hipped roof with stack to right. Two sash and central blank window space on 2nd floor, and 3 three- leafed sashes on lst floor with bowed palmette pattern iron balconies. Large picture window on ground floor, with plate glass door to right. Door of 6 raised and fielded panels to left with semi-circular fanlight in fluted Doric pilastered doorcase with open pediment on entablature blocks with 3 moulded steps with simple rails.
