The following text is from the original listed building designation:
RAMSGATE HIGH STREET TR 3765 SW ST. LAWRENCE (north-west side) 7/215 Chest tomb about 20 metres south of chancel of Church of St. Laurence GV II Chest tomb. Circa 1700. Stone. Moulded surrounds to side panels with moulded top slab. The long side panels with double crossed bones and central skull, the end panels with winged hourglasses, all executed on a large scale and in quite heavy relief. One of the more unusual and outstanding chests in the churchyard.
