Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
RAMSGATE HERESON ROAD TR 3865 SE (north-west side) 10/166 Elephant and Castle GV II Public House. Dated 1834. Stock brick with slate roof. Two storeys in 2 builds with parapet and with stacks to left and to right. Canted bay/oriel to left on 1st floor, and 2 storeys canted bay to right. Projecting bar front to left on ground floor, with panelled doors flanking plate glass window derived from Venetian window with panelled apron. Right hand section with segmentally headed glazing bar sash on 1st floor and plate glass window with pilastered surround below. Datestone to right inscribed: J.W. 1834 .
