Full Description
TQ 52545773. Bronze palstave found by Mr Chown of Redland Gravel Ltd,in February 1975, whilst operating the washing and processing plant at Bradbourne Gravel Pit, Sevenoaks. It has a 3-ribbed splayed blade, and no loop. The length is 15.1 cms and the stop is placed half way along the axe. The cutting edge is chamfered above the ribs, probably secondary work accomplished by honing. (See also TQ 55 NW 50) (1)
