Near Crab Wood, are two deneholes, open and in good condition, in a strip of woodland, at TQ 9312 5382 and TQ 9314 5384. Each appears to have three chambers and is about 8.0 metres deep. At TQ 9296 5413 there is a collapsed denehole in a strip of woodland near the Warren Street - Doddington Road. The pit is 8.0 metres in diameter and about 2.0 metres deep. Surveyed at 1:2500. (1) Deneholes at TQ 9312 5382 and TQ 9314 5384 are being obliterated by filling in and subsequent cultivation. At the edge of Crabb Wood, but still within it, are three, not two, deneholes either collapsed or partly filled since 1963. That at TQ 9312 5381 is a pit 4 metres in diameter and 4 metres deep; the others, at TQ 9313 5382 and TQ 9314 5383, are both 3.5 metres in diameter and 1.5 metres deep. (3-4)
