The following text is from the original listed building designation:

1. (South Side) 5285 BROADSTAIRS Kingsdown Farmhouse
TR 36 NE 5/27 II
2. The earliest portion is C18, the other part is later C19. The old part is dated 1785. 2 storeys red brick, the side partly of flint. Modern pantiled roof. Brick naves cornice. 3 sashes with glazing bars Intact. To the rear is a later C19 extension of 3 storeys yellow brick with tiled roof. Central doorcase with plasterwork pilasters and entablature and 6 panelled door, the top 2 panels cut away and glazed.
