The following text is from the original listed building designation:
STONE ROAD 1. 5283 (West Side) BROADSTAIRS No 5 (Paragon Lodge) TR 3968 SE 2/163 II GV 2. Originally brewery workers cottages. Subdivided into 2 properties. The front elevation is to Thanet Close. Early to mid C19. 2 storeys basement and attics faced with flint with buff brick window dressings. Slate roof with dormers. 2 sashes to each. The left hand property has a sash on the ground floor and a simple round-headed doorcase. The right hand property has a 3-light bay blocked in doorcase and an entrance in the side elevation.
Nos 1 to 11 (odd) form a group.
