The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TIPPLEDORE LANE 1. 5283 (East Side) BROADSTAIRS Lovejoy Cottage TR 3868 SW 3/39 5.5.72. II GV
2. Early to mid C19. The earliest part of the cottage was part of an early C19 pleasure gardens in St Peter's. 2 storeys, knapped flint with rough flint dressings. The front elevation is of 4 bays, the centre 2 which contain the oldest part, projecting and with pediment over. The pediment contains a stone frieze with a reclining figure of Neptune flanked by mermaids. Quoins, 2 sashes in pointed head linings. Stringcourse. The central portion is flanked by wings of 2 storeys with hipped slate roofs. Rough flint stringcourse. Left side has 1 3-light sash with cambered head and brick surround and French window. The right side has 1 sash with glazing bars intact and a modern brick extension. Right side elevation has 1 sash with glazing bars intact and a modern glazed extension.
