The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ST NICHOLAS AT WADE THE LENGTH TR 26 NE (north side) 1/89 25.6.71 Bramble Cottage GV II
House. Late C17 altered early C19. Brown brick and plain tiled roof. Two storeys and attic on plinth with dog tooth cornice and roof with kneelered gables, hipped dormer and stacks to left, centre right and end right. Three glazing bar sashes on first floor and 2 segmental headed glazing bar sashes on ground floor with central boarded door and flat hood. At extreme right remains 1 C17 wooden casement with basket arched head and a portion of a plat band. Right return: wing of 1 storey and attic, with 1 hipped and 1 flat roofed dormer, and entrance passage to rear courtyard.
