Listed Building record TR 26 NE 1126 - SARRE MILL

Summary

Grade II listed building. Main construction periods 1820 to 1989. A smock mill which was built in 1820 by John Holman for the grinding of corn. The mill, built of brick and weatherboarding, was heightened in 1856 so the base was now two storeys. The mill ceased work with wind in 1922 and work finally stopped altogether in 1940. The mill has been restored recently and was returned to work in 1992
