Full Description
Milton next Sittingbourne, two Neolithic celts were found a few years ago in the brickfields between the town of Milton and the Creek. One was of flint and the other of a stone foreign to the county. Exhibited at a meeting of the Society of Antiquaries in 1890. (1) No further information on these two axes was gained in the local museums. The general area given by Payne was extensively worked for brick earth in the last century and it is not posible to define any one particular locality (2). Additional reference (3).
