The following building shall be deleted RAMSGATE HAINE ROAD TR 36 NE (east side) 1/137 Gateway, Walls and Lodges, Haine Hospital GV
RAMSGATE HAINE ROAD TR 36 NE (east side) 1/137 Gateway, walls and Lodges, Haine Hospital GV II Gateway, walls and lodges. 1900 by Langham and Osborne. Stock brick, in part rough cast, with red brick and terracotta details and interlocking tiled roof. Queen Anne Style. The entrance group marked by a stretch of railings with scrolled piers running from a large brick pier with plinth, cornice and ball finial terminating the perimeter wall, with a short quadrant wall of brick between 2 large ball-finialed piers. Agap of some 15 metres marks the vehicle entry, with 2 piers, that to left isolated, with pedestrian access between. Eastern quadrant wall of brick some 20 metres long, sweeping out to form an L shape to the whole and terminated by a large brick pier. The brick wall about 6 feet high, with red brick bands and coping. Lodge to left (west) with 2 storey main block, with scrolled shaped pediments gable, double sash on first floor, and swept battlemented bay to ground floor. Hipped 1 storey wing to right, with valanced walkway, partly glazed in, with canted bay to right and central half-glazed door. Single storey extension to left. Right hand lodge (east): cross-shaped plan of 1 storey, with shaped gables to east and west wings, and scrolled and swan-necked pediments to north and south wings, with battlemented canted bay to south front. Boarded door to left (west) in half columned porch with leaded roof, and flat-roofed columned porch/loggia in re-entrant to southern wing.
