The following text is from the original listed building designation:
The following building shall be deleted RAMSGATE HAINE ROAD TR 36 NE (east side) 1/133 Joss Ward Haine Hospital GV
RAMSGATE HAINE ROAD TR 36 NE (east side) 1/133 Joss Ward, Haine Hospital GV II Isolation hospital ward. 1990 by Langham and Osborne. Stock brick with red brick and terracotta details and interlocking tiled roof. Central service block with wards to left and to right and terminating in separate service pavillions, all in Queen Anne style. Single storey basement with raised walkway. Each ward of 7 sashed windows with corbelled eaves to hipped roof. Central block with 2 shaped gables with sash to left and double half-glazed doors to right with raking hood on brackets. The rear of this central block with 2 projecting semi-octagonal wings and water-closet block with steps leading to recessed doorway. Square pavillions at either end, with cornice to swept battlemented parapet with ball finials and finialed sadle back roof. Three sashes to each elevation.
