The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ST NICHOLAS AT WADE CANTERBURY ROAD TR 26 NE (north side) Upper Hale 1/77 Granary or Dovecot about 15 metres south of Barn at TR 285680 GV II Granary or dovecot. C17. Red brick in English Bond with corrugated iron roof. One storey and loft with plat band and corbelled eaves cornice to hipped roof. Blocked doorway with semi-circular head, the corbelled plat band raised over it, with sidelight. Loft door to left with flight of wooden steps.
