The following text is from the original listed building designation:
MINSTER SEVENSCORE TR 36 SW (Ebbsfleet Lane) 4/40 Barn about 30 metres south east of 11-10-63 Sevenscore House GV II Barn. C16. Red brick with timber framed interior structure. Thatched roof. Flint and brick plinth. Bonding of alternate stretcher courses and header courses, end walls with ventilation slits. Half-hipped roof with hipped brick mid-strey, now leading to C20 storage building. Interior: 6 bays with aisles. Two bays at east end with passing shores. Two side purlins, tenoned into principal rafters, the upper purlin clasped and with curved diagonal struts to principals. The barn shown signs of reconstruction: rebuilt external aisle walls, timbers of varying quality, slight constructional differences in each bay. The barn is said to have been reconstructed from one dismantled at Minster Abbey, where indeed still remain a few bays of a barn of identical construction.
