Summary

A logboat was found in 1924 at Murston Marshes and thought to have been burned or hewn out of an oak trunk. It was not dated, although a Neolithic axe was said to have been found close by, and measured 3.35 metres long by 0.91 metres wide. It was presented to Eastgate House Museum in Rochester where it was displayed outside under a shelter and subsequently disintegrated. Status: Site
