The following text is from the original listed building designation:
RAMSGATE ROAD 1. 5285 (South East Side) BROADSTAIRS No 43 TR 36 NE 5/143 II
2. A mid C19 lodge. 1 storey built of squared flints with cobbled long and short quoins and window dressings. Roof has fishscale tiles and ridge tiles. 3 gables with wooden fretted bargeboards and pendants. 5 square flint and cobbled chimneystacks, 1 of which has an octagonal stone moulded chimney pot. Simple altered windows and simple doorcase with cobbled surround. 2 gate piers incorporating a stone shield with hand and hammer. Curiosity value.
