Full Description
Chipped, enamelled [patinated?] flint celt, 3 3/4" long, 2 1/2" wide. Found on the surface of a field to the south of the railway bridge at Grovehurst Hill, near Milton. [Collection dispersed, most going to Rochester, where above find is probably held.] (1) The Payne Collection has been dispersed to the British, Rochester and Maidstone Museums. Exact whereabouts of the above flint celt not ascertained (2) and additional reference (4).
