The following text is from the original listed building designation:
RAMSGATE VALE SQUARE TR 3764 NE (south side) 12/401 No. 50 13.9.74 GV II House. 1840's. Rendered with slate roof. Two storeys, basement and garret. Plinth with giant Ionic pilasters to entablature with 2 small pediments. Double pitch roof with stacks to rear left and to rear right. Regular fenestration of 3 margin light sashes, the central one smaller, on first floor, and 2 full height margin light sashes on ground floor and double 4 panelled doors in projecting late C19 porch, with mullioned sidelights and rectangular fanlight, all with painted glass, with pulvinated frieze and pediment over. Basement opening to right. Garret glazing bar sash to return elevations. Part of J.C. Eddel's development of Vale Square (see item 12/389).
