The following text is from the original listed building designation:
RAMSGATE GRANGE ROAD TR 3765 SW (east side) 7/117 Nos. 173 and 175 (Hanover 13.8.68 Cottage & Vine Cottage) GV II Cottage pair. C17 and early C18. Rendered red brick with plain tiled roof. Two storeys and garret front range, with kneelered parapet gable and stack to left. Two glazing bar sashes on first floor and 1 to left on ground floor with half-glazed door to right in trellised porch. Datestone to centre with Hanover Cottage inscribed. 1630 Recessed range to right, 2 storeys and garret, with half-hipped roof- and stacks to end right and front right, and glazing bar sashes and large leaded Insurance shield plaque. Additional wings to rear.
