The following text is from the original listed building designation:
RAMSGATE BROAD STREET TR 3865 SW (east side) 9/66 Tomb chest to William Blackman about 20 metres north-west of Church of St. George GV II Tomb chest to William Blackman, d.1801, and family. Stone in austere neo-classical style. Pylon-shaped corner piers on double stepped base, with raised top slab with coved cornice enriched with stylised bay leaves.
