Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
RAMSGATE THE PARAGON TR 3864 SW 19/285 No. 5 and railed Area 13.9.74 GV II Terrace house. Circa 1816. Painted brick with slate roof. Four storeys and basement with parapet and stack to left. Two late C20 U.P.V.C. casements on 2nd and 3rd floors with gauged heads. Two French doors on first floor with glazed verandah, with pierced piers and ornate scrolled brackets to roof, with simple doubled rails to left, scrolled balustrade to right. Bow window to basement and ground floor, with 2 sashes and original panelled door to right, with oval top panel, and lower panel with Greek key ornament with semi-circular fanlight in moulded and keyed surround at head of flight of 6 steps. Sash and wooden casement to basement, with panelled door. Simple rails with urn finials (see item(19/284 ) for historical description.
