Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
RAMSGATE KING GEORGE VI TR 36 NE MEMORIAL PARK 1/233 13.9.74 Nos. 1 and 2 and wall GV II Cottage pair, and wall and outbuilding. 1794 by Boncey of Margate for Benjamen Bond Hopkins. Stuccoed. Two storeys on plinth, with string courses, and string course and battlements. Central machicolated stack. Five label hooded Gothick sashes on 1st floor and 3 to right and 1 to end left on ground floor, with 2 boarded doors to left. Rear wing recessed slightly of 4 bays, the sashes (and replacement casements on ground floor) set in arched and hooded recessed surrounds, with 2 arched niches on right return. Left return built against and incorporating brick perimeter wall to park, with a separate stuccoed block of exactly the same details and proportions as main block, with sashes to re-entrant and rear elevations.
