The following text is from the original listed building designation:
RAMSGATE THE PLAINS OF TR 3865 SE WATERLOO (west side) 10/318 No. 69 and railed area 21.9.84 GV II Terrace house. Circa 1818. Stock brick with interlocking tiled roof. Three storeys and basement with parapet and stacks to left and to right. Three storey canted bay with glazing bar sashes in moulded architraves on 2nd and ground floors, with French windows on 1st floor with tented verandah with trellised piers, valancing and heart and wheel cast iron rails. Glazing bar sash to basement. Half-glazed door to left with semi- circular fanlight in keyed surround simple rails to steps and hooped rails to basement. Shown on Collard and Hurst's 1822 map.
