Summary
A Neolithic polished axe of fawn coloured flint was found in Teynham in the late 19th or early 20th century and is now in the British Musuem. It has an oval cross section and a thin, rounded butt.

Full Description
A polished axe of fawn flint from Teynham has been acquired for the British Museum, in the George Payne Collection. It is typical of others in the same collection from Upchurch and Sittingbourne. It is almost symmetrical with an oval section and thin, rounded butt. (1)
