Country house. Circa 1840 with late C19 alterations. Stucco with eaves cornice to slate roofs, hipped at ends of block. Ridge stacks, one retaining moulded capping Two storeys; 2-1-3-1-2 bays, salient features being 2 pedimented and projecting breaks with pilaster-strips, flanking central 3 bays. These contain tripartite windows with bracketed pediments over, on ground floor. Mostly casement windows. Outer wings have string-courses with French casements on the ground floor and balustraded and bracketed balconies over. Late C19, 3-bay central break on ground floor containing lobby with marble steps and reveals. Introduce low relief over doorway. Panelled door. Rear with moulded string over ground floor. 4-3-4 bays, the central 3 breaking forward with paired pediments. Interior. Doric fluted columns in entrance hall. Three Louis Quinze revival fireplaces of the later C19. One circa 1740 fireplace with flanking Atlant Herms brought in, now in dining room. Early Victorian floral cornices throughout.

The land for the house was purchased in 1813 and the house probably completed in 1816. The building is shown in the 1819 OS map. The house was renovated from 2006 onwards. (2)
