1.8.52 Ashenden and Garden Wall
II
House. Main block circa 1820 with earlier wing behind. Red brick. Bracketed eaves cornice to hipped slate roof with rear stack. Two storeys; symmetrical 3 window facade, tripartite outer glazing bar sashes, single glazing bar sash over entrance, all with gauged flat arched heads. Central entrance with bracketed pilastered doorcase and broken triangular pediment. Panelled half-glazed door with wreathed and radiating fanlight. Two-storey C17 tile-hung rear wing with later additions. Red brick garden wall circa 40 yds long bordering Tree Lane, probably early Cl9 in date.

Formerly open 2-bay hall and upper end of Wealden house. There are 17th century additions and 18th century alterations. (2)
