TQ 65 SW HADLOW Hadlow War Memorial 1694/3/10018 II
War memorial. Circa 1920. Lifesize stone statue of soldier in social realist style in uniform, including puttees, cap and bag, standing at ease resting on gun and supported on rock to rear with base inscribed "To our Glorious Dead 1914-1919". This stands on a stone plinth about four feet in height inscribed with the names of the fallen from the Great War and a tablet on the ground bears a list of names from the Second World War within a square stone enclosure.
