(TQ 61845367) Broadfield Farm (NAT) (1) II* Broadfield Dated 1700 over door. This rather imposing farmhouse has a well preserved "William and Mary" elevation with original mullioned and transomed lattice casements and centre panelled door with flat projecting hood. 2-window facade. 2 storeys. Plum coloured brick with blue headers. Coursed stone plinth and band of moulded brick. Heavy moulded eaves with plaster cove soffit. Ridge tile roof with 2 hipped dormers. End projecting stacks. Office wing adjoining to left, random stone on ground floor, and ordinary stock brick above. 3 small lattice casements on each floor. Clipped moulded eaves and ridge tile roof. (2) TQ 65 SW PLAXTOL OLD SOAR ROAD 4.27 (east side) 1.8.52 Broadfield Farmhouse II Farmhouse. Elevation dated 1700 to house, possibly earlier. Plum brick with blue headers. Coursed rubble plinth and platband of moulded brick. Moulded eaves cornice with coved plaster soffit. Plain tiled roof with 2 hipped dormers and projecting end stacks. Two-storey and attic; 2 window symmetrical front, metal casements. Central panelled door with flat projecting hood. R1700B on datestone over door. Office wing to left. Random rubble stone ground floor, stock brick above. Moulded eaves to plain tiled roof with east end stack. Two storeys; 3 windows, metal casements. (3) Broadfield. Chequer-brick cottage, dated 1700 in deliciously big digits. (4)
