Full Description
Much weather-worn, chipped flint celt, four and three quarter inches long, three and a half inches wide. Found on Morris Court Farm, Bapchild, and presented by W.W. Gascoyne Esq. [Collection dispersed, most going to Rochester, where above find is most likely held.] Celt of flint, weather-worn, chipped, 4" long, 3" wide. From the same locality. Presented by W.W Gascoyne Esq. (1) The Payne Collection has been dispersed to the British, Rochester and Maidstone Museums. The present location of the above celts not ascertained. (2)
