WEST MALLING
TQ6757 HIGH STREET 1156-0/2/63 Town Pump situated opposite Old Vicarage
GV II
Town pump. Dated 1850. Cast-iron tapering square column about 2m in height with gadrooned dome and urn with acorn finial. Panels to sides, some circular. Curved spout on side facing road. During the Second World War this was damaged and dismantled and an inscription commemorates its reinstatement by Royal Engineers in 1977.
