House. c1670 brick house on C16 or earlier foundations refronted in stucco, extended and altered in early C19. Hipped slate roof mainly concealed behind parapet. 2 storeys basement and attics 5 windows. Tall parapet with quoins. End rusticated quoins. End chimneystacks, the right side one crow-stepped. 12-pane sashes with triple keystones. Deep plinth. Left side elevation has 3 flat-roofed dormers and a doorcase with flat hood on carved wooden brackets a rectangular fanlight. Early C19 extension of 2 bays to left. Right side elevation also has 3 flat-roofed dormers and an extension with 2 early C19 12-paned sashes. Rear elevation has to right a c1670 detached 2 storeys outbuilding of stone rubble with casement windows and early C19 painted brick projection with tripartite sash windows. Interior features mainly relate to the early C19 alterations of the house. Entrance Hall has curved feature with 3 curved 6-panelled doors and marble fireplace with Greek Key frieze urn panels and pilasters. Raised panelling with semi-circular curve to corners. Lounge has late C18 mantelpiece with Pomona in centre flanked by cupids, one bearing a sheaf of corn. Dining room has early C19 fireplace with floral motif and console brackets. 1 bedroom has a Gothick fireplace surround with Art Nouveau firegrate. Cellar has slate-lined wine bins behind 4-centred arch probably reused late medieval wooden roll-moulded pillar on an octagonal stone base and C17 plank doors. Kitchen has similar plank doors. The former C17 outbuilding has an open fireplace on ground floor, small cupboard, and wooden winder staircase with section of wooden balustrading. This floor may have been used as a bothy, 3 plank door.
