TQ6857 SWAN STREET 1156-0/3/152 Railings Gate and Wall to Went House
GV II
Forecourt railings, gate and wall. c1710. Low panelled brick wall about 0.5m high in front of Went House with stone coping and elaborate C18 spear railing in wrought and cast-iron with scrolled panels surmounted by urns and central pedestrian gate with scrolled panels to each side and elaborate scrolled overthrow. This section is terminated by a partial brick pier on ragstone base. To left a ragstone wall sweeps round and is attached to the house, to the right the wall is included to the junction with Lavenders Road.
