[TQ 9121 6336] British Grave found A.D. 1883 [NAT] (1) A cist, containing a male skeleton, a bronze knife-dagger and a slate bracer, was found in a field opposite Trott's Hall Garden on the east side of Bell Road, Sittingbourne, in 1883. In the same field, at the back of the French House, a Neolithic celt was found, and about 100 yards to the south a bronze spearhead. An unaccompanied skeleton was found in 1879 and "a number of skeletons" c. 1835. (2)(3) The area is now built over. (4) Additional bibliography (5-7)
