Summary

Grade II listed building. Main construction periods 1400 to 1993 Formerly one property. The earliest range is of stone and dates to the later 12th century. This was probably a chamber block above an undercroft. A further wing and street ranges were built 15th century, possibly as an inn, which it was by the early 17th century.

Offices. Late medieval timber-framed building altered in mid C19. Front of painted brick in Flemish bond with old tiled roof. Rear has a roughcast gable and modern tiled roof. 3 storeys 2 windows. 2nd floor has 2 casements, 1 sliding. 1st floor has 2 mid C19 canted bays. Ground floor has C19 shopfront with deep fascia and end incised pilasters. 1st floor has very thick beams with lin chamfers. C18 winder staircase and 2-panelled doors. Remains of ogee arched doorcase.
