HADLOW CHURCH STREET TQ 63 49 7/35 Balcombe headstone approx 10m - south of the nave of the Church of St Mary

Headstone. Dated 1796 in memory of Mary Balcombe. Sandstone. Upright slab standing approx 650mm high with shaped head. The head is enriched with calligraphic-style scrolls. The inscription opens in Gothic lettering, the rest is Roman serif upper and lower case and records the death of Mary Balcombe in 1796.
