Donkey-Wheel House 70 yards to the south of Court Lodge GV II
Donkey-wheel house and water-tower, known as the 'Round House'. Mid C19. Red brick, octagonal pitched slate roof. Octagonal in plan. 2½ storeys. Round windows in north-east, north-west, south-east and south-west sides, sashes in four other sides. Shallow louvres in all sides under eaves. Door with gauged arched head in south side. Open tank with brick abuttment wall on north side, with pipe leading to tank under roof of building. Interior: Cogged horizontal wheel with attached harness surviving as well as full pumping machinery to well below. Water tank in roof.
