Hall-house. C16 hall-house, with possibly C15 wing to right and later additions behind. Red brick ground floor, close studded half-timbered first from with plaster infilling. Plain tiled roof. Jetty to left on exposed joists and brackets. Wing to right originally jettied, now underbuilt in brick, and gabled with modern ornamental barge-boards. Two storeys; 3 window front to hall, one window front to gable end. Modern lattice casements. Entrance in left return front with modern porch. Crown post in attic of main block. Benjamin Harrison, the notable local antiquarian, lived in this house.
