Description from record TQ 55 NE 45 :
(TQ 59525674 - Sited from HHR map) (2) II Town House Main Road (Guest House) The core of this interesting building is a 15th or 16th century framed structure with large centre hall and open timber roof. The elevation towards the road has gables to right and left with first floor overhangs. The two moulded bressummers of the right hand overhang and attic gable are carved with cornice battlements and suggest a 15th century date. The overhang to left has been partly bricked up. 1.2.1. window facade. 2 storeys, the centre part being the hall of 1 storey. Of particular note are the two bay windows on ground floor to right which have closely-spaced mullions and were probably inserted in the late 16th century. The front has been considerably restored, and the projecting tiled porch with linenfold panelled door, the pedimented oriel window on first floor to left, and the ornamental barge-boards of the gables are comparatively modern. The attic of the centre hall is lighted by 2 small 18th century hipped dormers.
