BIRLING CP STANGATE ROAD TQ 66 SE (west side) 3/113 Barn to south-east of - Birling Place

Barn. C17, Weather-boarded to north, east and west, random rubble and brick to south. Large blocked brick arch with wooden bressumer over to left of wagon entrance inside on south side. Wagon entrance to north. Hipped plain tiled roof. Jowled posts, mostly C17 and C18, and queen truss roof structure. C20 roof. The walls of Birling Place continue round the barn; the arch seems to be a part of these.
