2 small houses, originally 4 cottages. Probably early c18. Framed construc- tion, the first floor tile-hung; peg-tile roof; stacks with brick shafts. Plan: Originally 4 2-cell cottages, each with a heated room and a service outshot con- taining the stair. Back-to-back fireplaces in the axial stacks. Exterior: 2 storeys. Originally symmetrical 4-window front with later alterations. Paired front doors to the centre with C20 porches. 4 first floor and 4 ground floor windows, some small-pane casements, others with C20 plate glass casements. Interior: The left hand cottage only inspected. Original carpentry and joinery survives of a plain character. The original stair has a bead moulded handrail and balusters. No jowls to the wallposts.
