The following text is from the original listed building designation:
MOUNT EPHRAIM 1. 1746 (North West Side) No 24 to 30 (even) TQ 5839 NW 3/262 II GV 2. A Mid C19 range. 3 storeys weatherboarded. Slate roof. 1 casement each. Cast iron balcony at 1st floor level above projecting shop fronts. The shop fronts have bay windows. No 24 has 3 sashes on the side elevation and 2 doorcases with flat hoods and brackets over. Nos 24 to 32 (even) form a group.
