The following text is from the original listed building designation:
FROG LANE 1. 1746 (Formerly included as Murray Road) (South West Side) Caxton Cottage TQ 5838 NW 1/183 II GV 2. Probably Mid C19 but altered. L-shaped. 2 storeys stuccoed. Tiled roof with 1 dormer and ½ hipped gable ends. Irregular windows - some sashes, some casements. Simple 4 panelled door. Nos 4,5 and Caxton Cottage form a group.
